Don't Say Newbie Like It's a BAD Thing!
with
Lisa Stone Hardt
Former Dell Editor
Freelance Editor • Book Doctor • Author Coach

10:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Critique: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Business Meeting: 12:00 pm -1:30 pm
Program: 1:30 pm - 3:45 pm

NEW LOCATION:
P A L L Corporation
25 H A R B O R Park Drive
Port Washington, NY

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
This workshop is designed to help newcomers to the romance genre focus on the positive aspects of starting out. A new author can easily lose her essential spark of freshness and authenticity in the sea of "rules" she picks up in conference workshops and how-to books. It's hard to keep a candle lit in a hurricane, but with confidence in her intrinsic strengths, a "newbie" author can shield herself from some of this negativity and standardizing. My goal is to give new writers tools they can use to find (and keep finding) joy in their work and confidence in their ability, which they need to survive and thrive in the publishing business.
