Our unifying theme is quality!

Writer Wellness -- Art Meditation

This month we relax and reconnect to creative practice, free from the external demands of publishing.

Christine Elmore is an artist and designer who practices art as therapy. She has taught elders and children in pre-K and at USDAN, and currently teaches gifted and 2e children at the Talent Development Cooperative in Sea Cliff, NY.

At our meeting, Christine will introduce us to a non-structured creative exercise that can help ease the "need for control" and find the balance between freedom and constraint. Watercolor, by the nature of the medium, allows an intuitive painting process to unfold.

Bonus Session: LIRW's own Patty Blount leads discussion about identifying our own personal definitions of 'success' based on Eat, Pray, Love author Elizabeth Gilbert's moving TED Talk.
